Our Story
Zincir was born as an idea that believes in the potential of the digital world to generate social benefit.
With the launch of “ZincirApp – Civil Society Event Calendar” in 2021, it aimed to increase the visibility of civil society organizations working in the areas of gender equality, climate change, and youth, and to strengthen civic participation. ZincirApp quickly brought together hundreds of events on a single digital platform,
supporting solidarity within civil society.
The great need for solidarity that emerged after the February 6, 2023 earthquakes once again demonstrated how critical a tool digital technologies can be in times of crisis. This experience paved the way for the development of the Disaster Platform, which aims to coordinate shelter and transportation support in a rights-based, safe, and traceable manner.
Today, the Zincir Social Initiative has evolved into a structure shaped by field experience, digital production expertise, and the long-standing expertise of team members from various disciplines.
Working with the business world, local governments, and civil society organizations in the areas of sustainability, gender equality, digitalization, and social impact, Zincir continues its activities with a social enterprise model that transforms its experience into applicable solutions, produces services, and channels these services into social benefit.
